Vehicle Voltron seems
to remain a black sheep amongst the Voltron cannon, but in theory the
plotline at the end seemed to have been left open for more stories to
be told. Vehicle Voltron was mostly described to my by one person
as Robotech and Voltron put together (and much better than those
flighty dwarphin flower arrangers). This Vehicle Voltron site as
well as some others listed in my links directory are out here trying to
help people learn more about this mostly unknown series. And to
break myths like '15 hundred thousand vehicles take forever to form
together.' I've timed one of the Vehicle Voltron formations and
it doesn't take as long as may would think the formation of Vehicle
Voltron takes.
Madman Entertainment in Australia has released all of their Voltron DVDs. Media Blasters has released the Lion Voltron DVD tins! Vehicle Voltron DVDs are slated for the latter end of 2008 (delayed until December, one week before its original release date of September 30th). There are many complaints on the new "Voltron A Legend Forged" comic series. The complaints range from false information to shoddy artwork. Some have complained that Devil's Due isn't taking the property seriously enough. You can see some preview artwork for the comic series here and decide for yourself.
The Movie: A director has been named for the movie and the production has changed to a less costly format (big surprise). The script still needs the drastic change from the post-apocalyptic theme written earlier. It is a good concept, but it's not Voltron. |
